Vienna, Austria

I was privileged recently to visit Vienna, Austria with my family. After a very long trip (starting at 2am local time and 2 flights and 24 hours+ later!), we woke up the insatiable desire for pastries. So, after a quick Google to discover some nearby bakeries, off we went! We discovered a delightful little bakery less than 10 minutes walk away, where we enjoyed some delicious delicacies, with everything from croissants to apple donuts and apple cake. Of course we also had to order our cafe latte to go with it. It was all delicious! The cakes were the best in my opinion!

A Walking Tour

To help overcome jet lag and for a nice casual way to explore the area, we headed off on a self-guided walking tour. The walking tour was a great experience, walking slowly and soaking in the incredible scenery and architecture. Our walking tour took us on the following journey:

Spittelberg

MuseumsQuartier

Maria-Theresien-Platz

Mozart Monument

Hofburg Palace

St. Stephen’s Cathedral

State Opera
